Trehafod Shotokan Karate club

About

Based in Pontypridd, Rhondda Cynon Taf, Trehafod Shotokan Karate club is a martial arts club focused on the Shotokan style of karate. It serves people in and around the Rhondda area who are interested in taking up or continuing traditional karate training.

Shotokan is one of the most widely practised karate styles, generally known for strong stances, powerful straight techniques and an emphasis on kata (set sequences of movements). Clubs teaching it typically progress students through a coloured belt grading system, and training can help build fitness, coordination, discipline and confidence. Anyone thinking of joining is best advised to get in touch with the club directly to ask about sessions and getting started.
