EGH Judo

Based in Pontypridd, EGH Judo is a friendly and competitive martial arts club welcoming newcomers of all levels and backgrounds. Classes run three evenings a week and are split by age, from Judo Tots (3 to 5 years) and Dragons (5 to 8) through to a Junior group (8 to 14) and adult sessions. One-to-one private coaching is also offered, and the dojo is available to hire for parties and other uses.

Judo is a grappling art built around throws, holds and controlled falling, so it tends to suit people looking for self-defence skills, fitness and confidence. Beginners can usually expect to start with the basics of balance and breakfalls before progressing through gradings at their own pace.
