Welsh Kickboxing Organisation
About
Kickboxing in Port Talbot has a long local history through the Welsh Kickboxing Organisation, a martial arts club first set up in 1996 as the Afan Lido Kickboxing & Karate Club. It took on the WKO name in 2017 and now runs classes at several venues across South Wales, including Port Talbot, Neath, Llanelli and Cardigan. The club has a track record of producing competitive fighters at Welsh and British level.
Kickboxing classes generally combine striking technique, pad work and conditioning, so they suit people looking to improve their fitness and confidence as well as learn practical self-defence. Many clubs welcome both those who simply want to train and those keen to compete.
