Cheshire Sambo/Judo

About

Based in Congleton, Cheshire East, Cheshire Sambo/Judo is a martial arts club whose name points to two grappling disciplines: sambo and judo. It is listed here for anyone in the Congleton area looking for a local place to train in throwing and ground-based martial arts.

Generally speaking, sambo and judo both focus on throws, takedowns and controlling an opponent on the mat, and are often practised by people of varied ages and experience levels. Training in grappling arts like these can help build strength, balance, coordination and confidence. If you are thinking of joining, it is worth contacting the club directly to ask about sessions and getting started.
