About

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in St Helens, Merseyside, is the focus at Aspinall BJJ, a family-led team founded in 2005 with around 60 years of combined training between its members. The club teaches a broad mix of people, from MMA fighters and judo players to recreational grapplers, women and children, and also runs sessions at other venues including Golborne, Wigan and Rochdale.

A BJJ gym is generally a good place to learn ground-based grappling, improve fitness and build confidence through controlled sparring. Newcomers can usually expect a warm-up, technique practice with a partner and, as they progress, live rolling at a pace that suits their experience.
