Based in Baldock, Hertfordshire, Force Submission Brazilian Jiu Jitsu & MMA Academy is a martial arts club teaching BJJ, mixed martial arts and boxing. Classes are open to all skill levels, from complete beginners through to those with competitive ambitions, and there is a dedicated programme for children.

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu generally centres on grappling, positional control and submissions, with an emphasis on technique over strength. MMA classes typically combine striking and grappling, which makes them a good all-round workout for building fitness and confidence. Many people find a structured martial arts setting a useful route into practical self-defence skills as well.
