In east Belfast, Lisnasharragh Leisure Centre is a swimming and leisure venue with three separate pools: a competition pool, a community pool and a learner pool. Alongside the water, the centre has a gym, fitness classes, a sports hall and a café, so there is plenty to do beyond swimming.

A centre with several pools generally suits a wide mix of swimmers, from people building confidence in shallower water to those who want lanes for steady training. Learner pools are typically used for lessons and younger children, while larger pools tend to cater for lane swimming, clubs and family sessions. It is worth checking with the centre for current pool times and programmes before you visit.
