Omagh Karate Class (NIAKW)

About

This martial arts class in Omagh, County Tyrone, is run under the Northern Ireland Association Karate-do Wado-kai (NIAKW), an association established in 1978. Sessions are open to both adults and children aged six and over, and the association also runs a sister class in Dungannon.

Wado-ryu karate is a traditional Japanese style known for its emphasis on evasion, body movement and efficient technique alongside strikes and blocks. Classes in a style like this generally suit people looking to build fitness, coordination, discipline and confidence, and karate is often a popular choice for families who want to train together.
