Leicestershire’s Premier Swimming Club
About
Founded in 1960, Leicester Penguins Swimming Club is one of Leicestershire's longest-running sports clubs and a competitive swimming club serving swimmers in the Loughborough area. It offers coached training and racing for swimmers of all ages, with a development pathway that runs from swimming for fitness right through to international competition. The club describes itself as friendly and open, and a free trial is available for newcomers.
Joining a competitive swimming club is generally a good way to build technique, fitness and confidence in the water. Sessions are usually structured around coached sets, and many members go on to take part in galas and open meets as they progress.
