Kids Kung Fu Bishops Stortford
About
Based in Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire, this kids' kung fu programme is run by Hertfordshire Kung Fu Academy, a martial arts school that teaches Wing Chun. Classes are grouped by age, with sessions for 4 to 5 year olds and for 8 to 12 year olds, and the academy aims to offer a safe, inclusive setting for children from all backgrounds. New beginners can register for two free trial classes, and there are discounts for siblings.
Martial arts classes for children generally focus on coordination, discipline and confidence as much as technique. For the youngest age groups, sessions tend to centre on having fun while building basic movement skills, which makes it an approachable first step into a structured activity.
