Goju Ryu Martial Arts Academy
About
Based in Glenrothes, Fife, Goju Ryu Martial Arts Academy is a martial arts club teaching Goju-Ryu karate-do to adults and children of all ages. The club is affiliated with the IOGKF, and its Glenrothes dojo at Stenton runs kids classes three times a week, with children welcome from around age seven and a programme that carries them through to adulthood. The academy also has dojos in Dundee and Edinburgh for adults and youths.
Traditional karate generally combines technique, conditioning and structured grading, and many people take it up for fitness, flexibility, focus and stress relief as much as for self-defence. It can suit complete beginners as well as returning practitioners.
