Based in Mochdre on the edge of Colwyn Bay, Dragon's Den Jiu Jitsu is a purpose-built Brazilian Jiu Jitsu academy serving North Wales. Classes run six days a week, with a timetable that covers adult beginners right through to advanced students, plus dedicated sessions for kids and teens. Members can also make use of a lounge with free tea and coffee between sessions.
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a grappling art built around positional control, escapes and submissions, and it is often practised as a practical form of self-defence. Visitors to a BJJ gym can generally expect a mix of technique drilling and live sparring, with steady progress coming from regular training and a supportive group of training partners.
