Based in Aberdare, Rhondda Cynon Taf, Dragons Academy is a martial arts club offering Judo and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ). Both are grappling arts, making the academy a natural option for anyone in the area interested in throws, takedowns and groundwork.

In general, Judo focuses on balance, throwing techniques and controlled falling, while BJJ centres on positional control, escapes and submissions on the mat. Training in either tends to build strength, flexibility and confidence, and many people find the problem-solving side of grappling keeps them coming back.
