About
Based on Coach Road in Whitehaven, Cumberland, Whitehaven Judo Club is a martial arts club offering judo training for both children and adults. Sessions are split by age, with a junior class for 6 to 12 year olds followed by a class for teenagers and adults, and the club has a small team of coaches led by a head coach.
Judo is a physically demanding sport, and regular practice generally builds strength, flexibility, balance, speed and endurance. Working on attacking and defending techniques with a partner also tends to sharpen reaction time and coordination, and many people find it boosts their overall confidence on the mat and off it.
