Twyn Community Hub

About

Based in the Twynyrodyn area of Merthyr Tydfil, Twyn Community Hub is a local community centre listed here under sports. It supports Twynyrodyn and neighbouring parts of the Merthyr Tydfil Town Ward, with a focus on bringing people together, reducing isolation and easing the effects of low income.

The hub runs youth and after school provision, sessions for disabled adults and their carers, and parenting and toddler groups for families with young children. Community projects include an award winning eco garden and a dementia companion project, and there are opportunities to volunteer. Community hubs like this are generally a good starting point for anyone looking to get active, meet neighbours or find support close to home.
