Southport Gymnastics Club
About
Based in Southport, Merseyside, this gymnastics club is registered with British Gymnastics and offers recreational, advanced and competitive gymnastics for girls and boys, plus tumbling classes. It describes itself as the only pitted gymnastics facility in Sefton, with two recreational halls, a preschool room, a waiting area and refreshments. Classes run daily, and over 1,000 children attend each week, from Little Stars preschool sessions for ages 3 to 5 through to a competition squad.
Gymnastics is a great way for children to build strength, flexibility, balance and confidence. A club with a range of levels generally lets young gymnasts start with the basics and progress at their own pace, whether they want a fun weekly activity or a path into competition.
