South Yorkshire Gymnastics Academy
About
Based on Henley Grove Road in Rotherham, South Yorkshire Gymnastics Academy is a gymnastics club offering classes for a wide range of ages, starting from the very youngest. Toddler and preschool sessions are run as adult and child classes, while recreational gymnastics for children aged 4 and up includes an awards system with certificates and medals. A Friday open session lets families explore the gym together with children from walking age to 7.
Gymnastics is a good way for children to build strength, balance, coordination and confidence. Early years classes tend to focus on play and movement, with more structured skill work introduced as children grow. Recreational programmes usually let young gymnasts progress at their own pace.
