Known as The Mariners, South Shields Football Club is a semi-professional football club based in Jarrow, Tyne and Wear. The club fields both a men's team, which competes in the National League North, and a women's team, and plays home matches at its own stadium. Alongside matchdays, it runs a community foundation with weekly sessions, several youth academy pathways, an international academy for players aged 18 and over, pitch booking and room hire.
