About

Based in Grantham, Lincolnshire, this non-profit lifesaving club has been teaching water safety and rescue skills since 1971. It welcomes people of all ages and offers a wide range of awards, from Rookie Lifeguard and Rookie Rescue through to the National Lifesaving Academy, National Pool Lifeguard, Water Smart and Life Support qualifications.

Young members aged 8 to 16 can work towards bronze, silver and gold awards while making friends in the pool. Lifesaving clubs in general are a good fit for confident swimmers who want a purpose to their time in the water, combining fitness with practical survival and rescue skills that can be useful for life, and sometimes as a route towards lifeguard work.
