Focus Judo
About
Based at the Focus Centre in Galashiels, Focus Judo is a martial arts club for people across the Scottish Borders who want to learn judo. Sessions run on Monday nights, and the club caters for both juniors and seniors, with new starters welcomed at the start of each term. Established members can also find grading information and club documents through the club's website.
Judo, often called "the gentle way", centres on throws, holds and controlled groundwork. Clubs generally progress members through a belt grading system, and regular training tends to build balance, coordination, strength and confidence, along with a respectful approach to training partners.
