ETWALL EAGLES
About
Based at Etwall Leisure Centre on Hilton Road, just outside Derby, Etwall Eagles is a competitive swimming club with a structured squad system. Swimmers progress through the Eaglets group and the E1 to E4 squads, and the club also has a Masters section for adult swimmers. It organises its own galas, including a short course meet and a long-running Masters open meet, and keeps club records and championship honours.
Joining a swimming club generally means regular coached training in the pool, working on technique and fitness alongside others of a similar standard. Many clubs also offer the chance to race at galas, which can be a good way to set goals and track progress over time.
