About

Based in Clacton-on-Sea, Essex, Clacton Judo Club is a martial arts club focused on judo. It gives people in and around the town a local place to take up the sport or continue their training.

Judo clubs generally teach throws, holds and groundwork, with an emphasis on controlled technique, respect for training partners and safe falling. Sessions often suit a wide range of ages and fitness levels, and many clubs follow a grading system so members can track their progress over time. If you are thinking of trying judo, it is worth contacting the club first to ask about session times and what to bring.
