About
Based in Boldon Colliery, Tyne and Wear, Boldon CA Swimming Club is a community swimming club for younger members from across South Tyneside and beyond. It offers swimming lessons, skill development, training sessions and competitive opportunities, welcoming swimmers aged 5 and over from areas including West Boldon, East Boldon, South Shields, Jarrow, Cleadon and Whitburn.
Founded in 1978, the club was set up on the idea of making swimming open to all in the local community, and it is run by a team of volunteers. A club like this is a good way for children to build confidence in the water, develop their technique and take part in friendly competition.
