Set in Shevington, Blackbeard Jiu Jitsu is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academy serving Wigan and the wider Greater Manchester area. The club offers both gi and No-Gi training, and welcomes complete beginners as well as more experienced practitioners looking to keep developing.

A BJJ academy is a good place to build fitness, learn grappling and self-defence, and train in a structured, supportive setting. Sessions typically combine technique work with live rolling, so newcomers can start at their own pace before building up to sparring.
