Based in Bellshill, North Lanarkshire, Bellshill Martial Arts Academy is a full-time martial arts gym running from its own dedicated, fully equipped premises. It teaches traditional ITF Taekwon-Do alongside Korean Kickboxing, with classes for students from age 4 through to adults, held Monday to Thursday. The academy started out as Bellshill Taekwon-Do more than 25 years ago and has nearly 100 students, including 11 black belts.
Martial arts classes like these generally combine technique, fitness and discipline, with students progressing through a belt system at their own pace. They can suit children building confidence and coordination as well as adults looking for a structured way to stay active and learn a new skill.
