Aikido Inverclyde FAA

About

Based in Greenock, Aikido Inverclyde FAA is a martial arts club teaching aikido to people in the Inverclyde area. The FAA in the name points to its affiliation, linking the club to a wider aikido organisation.

Aikido is a Japanese martial art built around joint locks, throws and redirecting an opponent's movement rather than meeting force with force. Classes in this style generally focus on controlled practice with a partner, learning how to fall safely and steady progress through a grading system. Many people find it a good way to build balance, coordination and confidence, and it can suit a wide range of ages and fitness levels.
